HiPath 3000 can set
up networks via
IP data lines
HiPath 3000 can network several
sites (nodes) to one another via TCP/IP-based data
lines. For this, the CorNet N networking protocol
is tunnelled in the data stream.
Digital point-to-point connections
Company communication networks can
be set up via digital, non-switched trunk lines
between several HiPath systems with the CorNet N
protocol, and between HiPath and third-party systems
with the QSig protocol. In this way, systems are
connected to each other via public and/or private
lines.
Virtual network
A virtual network of HiPath systems
via digital switched lines makes economic sense
where point-to-point connections are not profitable
due to low volumes of traffic or where the complete
service scope of a point-to-point connection is
not required.
HiPath 3000, HiPath
4000 and HiPath 5000 can be connected up on IP and TDM
links using the CorNet IP and CorNet NQ protocols.
Distributed
architecture with central administration and central features
Communication in real time via the Internet protocol,
all applications at every workstation, and everything
being upgradable, fail-safe and cost-effective –
all this is made possible by HiPath 5000 with HiPath 3000
as a gateway. HiPath 5000 allows the setup of an integrated
IP-based branch office network for up to 1000 users at
32 sites (network nodes). With the HiPath 3000 media gateway,
every site has fail-safe on-site trunking access. IP networking
is centrally administered via HiPath 5000 as a Single
System Image. Applications must only be installed once
and they are available throughout the network –
regardless of location. As a consequence, operation and
administration costs are reduced.
